Planning and controlling megaprojects

To increase the project success rate a different approach must be taken than traditional project management. The first is to treat each new project as you would treat setting up a new business. Because the future is so unpredictable and so subject to outside influences, this requires a highly entrepreneurial approach by all the participants. https://www.pmi.org/learning/library/planning-controlling-megaprojects-9289 — Best Regards Seetha Ram

Why Hindus worship many gods, while other religions have one God?

Often, we search and download information from the internet when we have questions. It is indeed commendable that  some of us take trouble to answer questions. Often, many of us do not realize that we also have a responsibility to share and upload oiriginal content. Delighted to share these succinct responses by respected brother Shankar Planjery. Why Hindus worship many gods, while other religions have one God? Hindus follow Sanatana Dharma (Ancient Wisdom) prescribed in Vedas. Vedas are not written by Humans, Like other religious text. Vedic Energy exists in the Universe, Like Air, Electricity, Virus like Corona etc... not visible to our eye. But sage Ved Vyasa, through his Yogic Meditation, received this energy and put in writing in Sanskrit script. These are grouped by him in 4 parts, called Vedas. Hence, Vedas are considered Divine Instructions and not a human creation. Vedas reiterate that every aspect of creation is Divine and should be r...

COVID deaths near 400,000 in US; experts blame Trump administration

Everybody, including me, is excited about the vaccines, excited about science and what it can do for us. It's incredibly important. But I think we downplay the importance of what a good administration can do in managing this pandemic. We will do a lot better when we have an administration that follows science and follows public health, that gives consistent messaging, that doesn't politicize key institutions like the CDC and the FDA.'' https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/01/17/covid-19-us-400-000-deaths-experts-blame-trump-administration/6642685002/ — Best regards Seetha Ram

Covid-19 Ushers in a New Era of Full-Time Travel - The Wall Street Journal.

I thought you would be interested in the following story from The Wall Street Journal. Covid-19 Ushers in a New Era of Full-Time  "There will definitely be more digital nomads," says Nicholas Bloom, professor of economics at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. Before the pandemic, only about 2% of Americans worked from home full-time, Mr. Bloom says, but he expects that will rise to about 8% to 10% of workers. If just 10% of them travel and work remotely, that will still be enormous, he says. Happy New Year 2021  from Seetha Ram family. Best regards Seetha Ram

Interesting insights about sleep and dreams

Beyond dreams, other parts of sleep may be equally or more involved in overnight processing. People remember information better if they study it at night before bed and try to recall it the following morning than if they study in the morning and recall it later the same day. https://slate.com/technology/2020/12/sleeping-processing-problem-solving-science-research.html?utm_source=pocket-newtab-intl-en   —
