Global travel can’t keep insisting on Covid vaccines - The Financial Express

What about Covid tests and isolations? It is important for destination countries to realise that insisting on on-arrival tests and out-of-pocket quarantine is unsustainable over time. Travel, particularly leisure travel, can't resume under such conditions. If destination countries are well-vaccinated, as also airline-, rail- and liner-staff, then the insistence on pre- and post-arrival pandemic checks is unnecessary. If, over time, countries that have vaccinated most of their people can do away with the preventive border measures and liberalise travelling, then problems of selective vaccine-base travel can be overcome. https://www.financialexpress.com/opinion/global-travel-cant-keep-insisting-on-covid-vaccines/2283722/ — Best regards Seetha Ram

kindness

https://youtu.be/mJhZ64BvvFU   Wonderful video. Being Kind" was created on super short notice by an intercontinental crew of volunteers working out of their living rooms. New running shoes are smashing records

Running-shoe makers have long tried to boost athletic performance, observes Geoff Burns, a biomechanics expert at the University of Michigan. But in 2016 Nike released the first version of its "Vaporfly" model, which improved running economy by 4%. https://www.economist.com/science-and-technology/2021/07/14/new-running-shoes-are-smashing-records New running shoes are smashing records from TheEconomist — Best regards Seetha Ram

Pooch pee blamed for traffic light pole's collapse in central Japan

Mie Prefectural Police's forensic science laboratory found about 40 times the concentration of urea at the bottom of the post compared with other traffic light poles that had been installed around the same time period.
