Jr east inspiration

Sharing with younger generation In 2021, after reaching the retirement age and becoming a contract employee of JR East, he enrolled in the doctoral program of the University of Tsukuba's Graduate School of Policy and Planning Sciences. Prior to the move, when he was responsible for training younger employees in the field of safety, he felt that academically systematizing the practice of safety measures would make it easier to understand the practice. Dasara reflections

*Dasara* — we celebrate this fortnight, A time of courage, compassion, and light. We gather with hearts open wide, Honoring women, our strength and guide. DA — compassion, soft yet strong, Binding us where we belong. SA — strength that mothers share, A steady hand, a loving care. RA — resilience, bold and bright, Turning struggle into flight. In every step, in every voice, Women rise, and we rejoice. Unity and peace — their lasting gift, They shape the world, they heal, they lift. https://youtube.com/watch?v=IucUU0728KE&lc=UgwsuwHPMBjRwBr98UR4AaABAg&si=Ug7-GUba5SrXkr7B Best Regards Seetha Ram

The perverse consequence of America's $100,000 visa fees The new visa fee could therefore accelerate the shift by multinationals to expand operations in India. (Smaller startups, though, may find it harder to hire.) Research by Britta Glennon, of the Wharton School, examining restrictions introduced in 2004, found that firms heavily reliant on H-1Bs increased their overseas employment by about a quarter compared with those less dependent on them. R&D-intensive jobs were among the first to move, and the main beneficiaries were Canada, China—and India https://economist.com/business/2025/09/22/the-perverse-consequence-of-americas-100000-visa-fees from The Economist

## Technofeudalism: Core Thesis

## Technofeudalism: Core Thesis - **Technofeudalism** is the concept that capitalism is being replaced by an economic system dominated by *digital platforms* or "cloud fiefdoms," where power is concentrated in the hands of Big Tech, which extracts rent from data, user activity, and digital attention rather than through productive competition[1]. - Varoufakis clarifies that this is *not a return to classical feudalism,* but an advance into a hyper-capitalist order, driven by a new type of capital—*cloud capital.* This power structure bypasses markets and profit norms, transforming individuals from consumers or workers into "digital serfs"[1]. *** ## Evolution of Capital: Feudalism, Capitalism, Technofeudalism - **Feudalism:** Hierarchy based on *land ownership*; wealth comes from rents charged to those working the land[1]. - **Capitalism:** Shift to *means of production*—machinery, factories, tools. Power accrues to owners of produced capital, not j...
