Family violence originates from childhood and goes on from generation to generation, perpetuating its acceptance and normalization. Besides having legislation in place, it is crucial to address domestic violence by changing people's mindsets. Social norms need to change toward non-violent relationships and the empowerment of women.

When I started to coordinate the preparation of report in 2005, the big question that I had in my mind was how can this massive target be achieved expeditiously?
