Japan’s JR Tokai to Operate Special Overnight Tokaido Shinkansen from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka Aug. 8

The special train, the Tokaido Lumiere Express, will depart from Tokyo Station at 10 p.m., about 30 minutes after the last train bound for Shin-Osaka Station, and arrive at Shin-Osaka Station at 6:59 a.m. on Aug. 9, more than an hour before the first train of the day.

When I started to coordinate the preparation of report in 2005, the big question that I had in my mind was how can this massive target be achieved expeditiously?
